https://www.ventrac.com/ The ES220 Broadcast Spreader is a work-saving way to install a new lawn into any space, small or large. • In this video, we show you how to get a start on a beautifully planted lawn to accompany this newly built home. The freshly trodden ground around a new home is often rough and ungraded. With the help of Ventrac implements, you can easily prepare the ground into soft, graded material, receptive to grass seed and fertilizer. Commonly, seed distribution is done by walk-behind equipment, which can be a laborious and difficult task for large lawns. The Broadcast Spreader is a much more efficient and work-saving way to distribute seed than a walk behind or a ride-on spreader while still preserving the integrity of your surface. As with any Ventrac implement, ease of attachment is important. It takes just a few seconds to join the rear two-inch receiver hitch and attach the 12-volt plug. The spreader is capable of being rear or front mounted. The spreader features a simple on/off access lever located just over the operator’s right shoulder which minimizes waste of seed material and prevents over-applying in specific areas. • For more information, visit https://www.ventrac.com/ • Products featured in this video: • Ventrac 4500: • https://www.ventrac.com/products/trac... • ES220 Broadcast Spreader: • https://www.ventrac.com/products/acce... • KP540 Power Rake: • https://www.ventrac.com/products/atta... • Power Bucket: • https://www.ventrac.com/products/atta... • Find a dealer near you! https://www.ventrac.com/dealers • Get a FREE catalog! https://www.ventrac.com/contact/catalog • Subscribe here! / @ventrac • Connect with Us! • Facebook - / ventrac • Instagram - @ventrac_tractors • Twitter - @ventrac • Video Transcript: • I'm Aaron Graber with Ventrac and today we use the Ventrac broadcast spreader to spread grass seed on a new yard install. After a new home is built the ground can be pretty rough sometimes. The Ventrac is nice because it has all the tools available to turn that rough ground and to finish graded material like this. It's much more efficient than a walk behind or a ride on spreader all without having to worry about large equipment doing more damage to the surface than you started with. The spreader is very easy to attach to this tractor it simply slides into the rear 2-inch receiver hitch and then hooks into the 12-volt plug on the back. To do this job correctly the most important thing you need to do is dial in your application rate. You also want to make sure that you close the gate while the spinner is spinning so that you don't get material built up underneath the spreader. Since all materials are a little bit different and spread differently the specific seed that you use will always have a unique spread pattern. First, we started off with the grass seed mix and then after that, we switched over to a pelletized fertilizer. There will be spots on the property where you have to close the gate so that you don't over apply seed and waste it. With the Ventrac spreader, it's convenient because that lever is just behind the right shoulder of the operator and easy to access. After it starts growing the homeowner's going to come back a few weeks later and use the AERA-Vator and seedbox to overseed it and fill in any gaps that didn't grow as well as others. Thank you for watching this video on the Ventrac broadcast spreader.
