My First Publication

Let’s talk about the first book I was published in, which was part of NATO proceedings. My mentor and friend, Carl Fransblau, generously included me and others from his lab as co-authors. The publication was on collagen and elastin cross-links. I then went on to study the mechanism of penicillamine inhibition of connective tissue cross-links, and how collagen activates platelets and is involved in coagulation.
