Boil and bite mouth guards are a great way to protect your teeth during physical activities like sports and martial arts. Ensuring your mouth guard fits correctly is very important for comfort and protection. In this video we show you how to mold a mouth guard. • The first step is trimming the mouth guard if it’s too large for your mouth. Next you add the sports mouth guard to boiling water for 30 seconds. Be careful the mouth guard does not touch the edges of the pot, or else it may melt. The sports mouth guard should feel warm but not hot. At this point, place the mouth guard in your mouth and press it into your teeth. Do this all over the guard. Then, immediately add the mouth guard to ice cold water for 30 seconds. This will make sure it retains the shape of your mouth. Check the fit. You should be all set now but if for some reason it does not feel comfortable, simply repeat the above steps.
