Hello dear Friends!!🌸 I have had so many questions on petunia care, I thought I would share a quick video on how I care for petunias. • 1️⃣ First, watering is the most important factor in keeping your plants gorgeous. It may seem obvious, but it’s a daily commitment to keeping your plants healthy. I water daily at the same time. My favorite time to water is in the evening. If you live in a very hot area of the country you are going to have to water twice a day. Never let your plants get to a point of wilting. When I lived in Southern California, during the hot season, I had to water twice a day to keep my annuals looking gorgeous on those 100+ degree days. • 2️⃣ Fertilizing is second on the list for keeping your plants beautiful. I fertilize every 3rd watering or a minimum of once a week. I personally use @ProvenWinners Premium Water Soluble Plant Food. Their fertilizer is a bit different because it has iron in it which keeps the leaves of your plants green and prevents them from turning yellow. • 3️⃣ This final tip is specifically for your @ProvenWinners SuperTunias. Weekly hair cuts are a must! Just like our hair... our plants need their ends to be trimmed to keep them looking FABULOUS. I trim off any leggy blooms each week. The amazing thing about SuperTunias is that they are SELF CLEANING (game changer 🙌🏻) which means no deadheading! They are a LOW maintenance petunia! Make sure when you are trimming not to cut more than 20 - 30% of the plant. • I hope this helps a bit to answer some of your container questions.
