Fast breaststroke kick requires the feet to dorsi flex or bring the toes towards the shin. We measure this tool using a downward dog pose with the feet pigeon toed. We begin with the heels on the matt and walk the hands out until the heels can’t stay on the matt any longer. • Nick Mahabir has an incredible amount of dorsi flexion in his ankles as he is able to walk his hands out far while keeping his heels pinned to the matt. • If you want to increase your dorsi flexion in your ankles, you can sit in this pose for a few minutes every day. Or you can put your toes on the top of a curb while keeping your heels planted on the ground. • The key is consistency.
