While wandering around Intramuros, the old walled city of Manila, I was approached by a tour guide. He offered me a Kalesa ride. • Kalesa is what Filipinos call a horse and carriage. • His rates were 1,000 pesos per hour, which is more than I wanted to spend, so I asked to just ride for a half an hour.
