I also believe that the multiple videos taken that night from other people corroborate my side of the story. I also believe I was targeted for arrest because I was filming the cops. Dirty unethical law enforcement personnel try everything in their power to avoid public scrutiny. Bad apples don't like being scrutinized or held accountable for their actions.I was knocked down by Austin PD for nothing more than reaching my hand out. My intentions were to make sure Antonio's camera did not get smashed or hit the ground.At no point was I close enough to the officer To actually grab my friend during his arrest. if I were actually physically resisting then they would have grounds and probable cause to arrest me for interfering. Donating to my cause shows that you're taking a stand with me against injustice. when I stand up and flex my right I preserve and defend the rights of everyone. Democracy is a contact sport! sometimes people like myself have to push the envelope and get into the court system and let a jury of my peers determine my fate. In doing so I preserve and defend the rights of all of us. If I am unable to afford my attorneys fees I'll never get my chance to have my day in court. personally I am very proud to stand up for the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court has ruled numerous times that documenting police activity in public is a first amendment right. we will all lose this right if people don't exercise it. I am willing to put my body as well as my freedom on the line to preserve this right. Who will stand with me?
