Coast Guard rescued 16 crew members of a sinking ship in inclement weather. The ship was drowning near Revdanda port in Raigad district of Maharashtra. An official release said two ICG choppers took part in the 'air-sea' coordinated operation. Indian-flagged MV Mangalam had informed authorities in Mumbai on Thursday morning. It had said that the vessel was sinking 3-km away from Revdanda jetty due to ingress of water. ICG ship Subhadra Kumari Chauhan sailed out from Dighi for rescue operation. Two ICG helicopters were also launched from its air station in Daman. All 16 crew members were rescued taken to Revdanda. #IndianCoastGuard #Maharashtra #MVMangalam
