Nicolas Cage, let’s face it, has played some crazy, kooky, out there, dare I say disturbing characters, in his film career. “Longlegs” just might take the gold! Cage as a serial killer is undoubtedly the top selling point of this movie, but there’s plenty of other reasons to consider checking it out. “Longlegs” is a horror movie directed by Osgood Perkins, the son of Anthony Perkins who most famously played Norman Bates in “Psycho.” The main non-serial killer character is Lee Harkins, a FBI agent on the hunt for this serial killer who kills entire families. She also might have a substantial connection to the killer. Lee is an introverted, gifted, analytical FBI agent with an apparently strong stomach as you’ll see in one scene. If you want a disturbing, and at the very least, creepy movie to watch, “Longlegs” just might be what the doctor ordered. It has very gray, drab cinematography which adds to the unnerving feeling, in a good way if that makes any sense, you’ll get.
