In this video, we take your through the steps needed to restore video on your Defender HD and Defender HD wireless cameras. Video Loss as it’s referred to on the DVR menu occurs when the camera loses connection with the DVR. • Use these steps whenever you have a blank or unclear camera image. • • Confirm the DVR is not set to Covert mode – this setting can be found in the display section of the Parameter menu. Enabling Covert mode turns off the camera display, but the camera will still record as shown by a red M or R icon on screen. • • Check that all connections are tight. • o Camera to DVR. • o Camera to Power Splitter. • o Power Splitter to Power Adapter. • o Power adapter to wall outlet. • • Unplug the camera from power and plug it back in. • • Switch the Yellow BNC connection on the back of the DVR to a known working video channel • • Remove the camera and power adapter from the four-way power splitter. • • Connect the non-working camera directly to the power adapter • • Connect the camera to a known working cable • • Defender HD: http://www.defender-usa.com/hd-securi... • Facebook: / 290183911010504 • Twitter: / defenderusa • Youtube: / defenderdiy
