In this video I attempt to repair a pair of Mezlan 2-tone Derbies that have pretty bad surface cracking/crazing of the leather on the right shoe. I believe if you're going to attempt this on your shoes it's important to understand the difference between full grain and corrected grain leather. • Also, after sanding and re-coloring leather, the shoes WILL be more sensitive to needing polishing. Even though after re-coloring with polish most of the repair is invisible, you are removing the top layer of leather, and the leather underneath IS more porous, so understand that you'll need to polish the shoes more often after this repair than before. It's also NOT a guarantee that they won't crack again. • Here are a couple relevant videos: • High vs Low Quality Belts How to get 'em cheap! -(this video explains corrected grain vs full grain leather) •    • High vs Low Quality Belts   How to ge...   • Brogues explained!
