Learn how to create a caramel balayage look on curly hair with this step by step tutorial from James Earnshaw, Wella’s UK Ireland craft expert. James also shares his top 3 tips when colouring curly hair, including the formulas and technique advice. • Formula A: 20g Blondor Plex (1:1.5) +30g Welloxon Perfect 4% • Formula B: equal parts Color Touch 10g 9/73+10g 7/97+ 40g 1.9% (1:2) • Step 1 • Section the hair in four quarters. • Step 2 • Mix Blondor Plex (1:1.5) with Welloxon Perfect 4% . • Step 3 • Apply foils through your quarters with chunky weaves, blending the lightener towards the roots. Develop for 50 minutes. • Step 4 • Rinse and apply Wellaplex no2. • Step 5 • Tone the hair using Formula B. • Step 6 • Finish using ColorMotion+Structure mask that with WellaPlex bonding agent for stronger hair. • Step 7 • To style the hair, use EIMI Curl Shaper mousse to define the curls.
