First couple days I advised to do the dry dressing changes as there is quite a bit of drainage and that keeps the dressing wet and after this I would recommend to change it to wet-to-dry dressing with saline to keep it moist which enhances the healing. It is really infected in the beginning with a lot of necrotic or dead tissue than I recommend to do the dressing changes either with Betadine or Dakin's solution.
