Black and Decker 20v lithium ion cordless pole pruning saw

I needed a pole saw to prune back my apple pear tree and bought this Black and Decker LPP120 cordless model. The pole pruner can reach 14 feet if you screw on the extension. It becomes more than a little unwieldy at that length. I am using it without the extra extension. I had no problem cutting 2 1/2 inch branches. It can cut branches up to 6 inches. Rest the serrated part of the plastic housing against the branch. This will minimize the vibrations when the branch is being saw off. • The bar chain came preinstalled and adjusted but has to be tightened after about 15 minutes or less of usage. To tighten the chain, loosen the allen screws slightly, then adjust the screw at the front until the chain is such it can be pulled up for an 1/8 of an inch at the midpoint of the bar. Retighten the allen screws. • Detach the battery before you attempt to tighten the chain. Use 30 weight bar chain oil to lubricate the chain at the beginning of each session as there is no automatic oiling. Be aware of these limitations and you'll be happier with the saw. • The saw comes with a 20v 1.5Ah battery and charger. The battery is compatible with my Black and Decker cordless trimmer.
