Irresistibly chewy, these Italian almond cookies are the perfect treat! • They are also gluten-free. • Follow @giuliardii for more recipes like this one! • Ingredients: • 225 g almond flour (1 cup + 3/4 cup + 2 tbsps) • 140 g sugar (1/2 cup + 3 tbsps) • 2 egg whites • 1 tsp vanilla extract • orange/ lemon zest • icing sugar • • Instructions: • 1. Preheat your oven to 340°F (170°C) • 2. Mix almond flour, sugar and orange zest. • 3. n a separate bowl, whisk up the egg whites with vanilla extract until foamy. • 4. Gradually combine the mixtures with a spoon. • 5. Form the cookies by making small balls of dough, about a tablespoon per cookie. Roll them in icing sugar and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure they have some space between them. • 6. Place a whole almond on top of each cookie for decoration and an extra almond flavor. • 7. Bake in the preheated oven. This usually takes around 12-15 minutes. • 8.
