Today we are going to take a look at the be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM or fully modular 750w power supply. The Pure Power 11 FM series consists of 3 models, 550, 650, and 750 watts. All of the Pure power 11 FM models are modular meaning you can choose to only plug in the required power cables for your build. This helps ensure you don't have to route and manage unnecessary cables during the build. Modular cables by nature means you will use fewer PSU cables allowing the air to move more freely through your case which helps component cooling. The Pure Power 11 FM 750w offers two 12v rails for supplying the bulk of the power to the system. Rail 1 provides 36 amps and rail 2 provides 32 amps. This design can split the total system load between two power rails for optimum efficiency. The Pure Power 11 runs extremely cool which allows the silence-optimized fan to spin very slowly from 20 to 50% load. At 50% load or less, the PSU fan is making less than 10dba worth of noise according to be quiet which is inaudible to most people. Even at a 100% sustained load of 750w, the fan will only be outputting about 25dba which is equivalent to low noise case fans. At 750w of continuous system load though, this will probably be undetectable. Like many other be quiet PSUs, this series also utilizes a wire free design on the dc side of the PSU that decreases airflow restrictions which ultimately helps cooling and longevity of the PSU. Be quiet employs a strategy where they try to keep compatibility from one series or generation of modular PSU's to the next one. This means that if you had an older 500 or 600 watt park pro 10 power supply, you would be able to keep and reuse the drive, PCI express, and CPU p4/p8 modular cables with your shiny new Pure Power 11 FM power supply. This compatibility check tool is quite handy so, if you have an older power supply make sure to take a look. • Be quiet’s gold rated and above PSU's are typically very high quality, this 750 Pure Power 11 FM is built for mid ranged to high end gaming machines that need reliable power output. The PSU is actually rated for 750w of continuous load but is capable of peaking up to 820w. The Pure Power 11 series will carry a 5 year manufacturing warranty. • The build quality of the PSU is what I would expect from be quiet at this price range, which is to say that it's very good. I found no manufacturing defects in the PSU or the modular cables included, I tested each cable just to be sure.
