One of our core beliefs as Christians is that Christ came in the flesh and died. Yet, the story doesn't end there. The chapter doesn't conclude with his death. Quite the opposite actually. HE ROSE. HE IS ALIVE. HE IS VICTORIOUS. Through him we have resurrection, through him we have life and THROUGH HIM WE HAVE OVERCOME DEATH. HES TAKEN US FROM THE KINGDOM OF DEATH AND DARKNESS, when at one point we were destined to die and suffer the eternal consequences, NOW WE HAVE LIFE! NOW WE HAVE THE ASSURANCE THAT WE WILL BE RAISED, NOW WE HAVE IT CERTAIN THAT THIS JESUS WHO WAS RAISED WILL TOO RAISE US UP.
