Kates Kitchen Healthy Pasta REALLY GOOD

Hello and welcome to Kate's Kitchen where today we make healthy pasta!! At least I think it's healthy. Google said it was healthy. Maybe I added too much pesto and cheese to make it healthy but it's fiiiine. On a real though, if you're reading this, this is one of my absolute FAVORITE meals to make. It's really tasty and you get the hang of it the more you make it. Lately instead of using fresh broccoli, I've been just doing the steam in bags in the microwave and then dumping it in the pot LOL it tastes just as good but it does water down the bowl a bit. Still good though!! • Ingredients: • Pasta (I recommend penne, it soaks it in better imo) • Extra Virgin Olive Oil • 5-6 Cloves of Garlic • 2 cups of Grape Tomatoes • 4 cups of Small Broccoli Florets • Pesto • Grated Parmesan cheese • Salt • Pepper • Red pepper flakes • Directions: • 1. Cook the pasta according to the box. Hold onto 1 cup of the pasta water. • 1.5. Chop up broccoli florets to be smol, cut tomatoes in half long ways. Mince garlic. • 2. Sauté a tablespoon of oil and garlic for 30 seconds, then add 1 tablespoon of pesto and all the tomatoes. Stir. • 3. Cook for 2 minutes then stir. And cook for 90 seconds. • 4. Move tomatoes over to one side, dump in another tablespoon of pesto then broccoli. Stir. Cook for 4 minutes but at the 2 minute mark, stir one big swoop. • 5. Turn off heat and add 1/2 a cup of pesto, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, pasta, and pasta water. Stir slowly and softly. Sprinkle with half a cup of parmesan cheese. • 6.
