#shahidkapoor #vishalbharadwaj #haider • Last Sunday after noon, I was watching vishal Bhardwaj’s “ haider”, which was released in year 2014 , due to the political nature of the film, in some circle the film was appreciated and some circles called for the complete boycott of the movie. Haider is an adaptation of Shakespeare's play “Hamlet. Hamlet” which is about son’s revenge on his uncle for killing his father and marrying his mother, is one of the most complex and thought provoking plays of William Shakespeare . So after I was done watching the film, I thought why not give bard’s play another go . And after I was done rereading the play, which took me good amount to time, I came up with completely new interpretations of the movie Haider. So, here I am presenting my newfound meanings of the film. • 0:00-0:54 : Intro • 0:55-4:23 : Marital discord is at the core of the movie • 4:24- 7:20 : Haider is an unreliable narrator • 7:21 - 9:26 : Haider and Hamlet is about succession
