#Documentary series #TheYangtzeRiver offers a glimpse into the social changes and environmental transformation along the Yangtze River. Using 4K technologies, the series examines the Chinese mother river from the perspective of #environmentalprotection, celebrating the commitments and efforts Chinese people have made pitted against the backdrop of global concern over the issue. • The Yangtze is the third longest river in the world and also the mother river of Chinese people. It nourishes around 40% of China's population while its basin is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world - home to rare species such as giant pandas, porpoises and snow leopards. However, excessive use of natural resources has threatened the #environment of its reaches. • This documentary series features a roster of interviewees, depicting the emotional bond of people living in different regions of the mighty river.
