If you have Multiplayer Gold Edition, it is my understanding that there is at least one patch that will let you play it directly on Windows 7. Classic Civilization II offers the advantage of a much less hostile AI compared to MGE. • Overview of Procedure • Download VirtualBox from: • http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads • Use Internet Explorer to download the Puppy Linux 4.3.1 iso • (The last link is the download location, the others are the pages that get you there): • http://www.puppylinux.com/ • ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/ • ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/puppy-4.3.1/ • Install VirtualBox • Create a virtual computer to run Puppy Linux • Install Puppy Linux on that virtual computer • Establish internet access from the virtual computer • Download and install Wine for Puppy Linux • (Last link is the download location, others are pages on the way): • http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Wine • http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopi... • http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopi... • http://www.wuala.com/puppylinux/versi... • Copy the CD contents to the virtual computer. • Change the permissions of INSTALLE.exe and change the run action to wine $@ • Click on INSTALLE.exe and run a custom installation with only the required game files • Find the civ2.exe in the C-drive of the Wine File
