Should I take the club low slow or should I do a Figure Eight? You're much better off doing a Figure-8 like Joe Nichols taught. • Here is the proper way to do a figure eight in the back swing. Push the handle down so that the club head routes out and up. By pushing the handle down, you actually tilt your shoulders and create more width. • When you go low slow, something you might end up doing is lean off the ball, create tension in the shoulders, and turn to flat. • Push the lever down and the club up.
