Shamaya Winders, for those unaware, was the youngest of the three friends Kenneka Jenkins drove to the party in September of 2017 at the Crowne Plaza O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, IL. Shamaya Winders is also one if the two people who was last with Kenneka Jenkins in the hallway outside Room 926 of the hotel. • I've been asked multiple times to do an update on Shamaya Winders. Shamaya Winders seems to lay pretty low unlike some of the other friends from the party. This news, however, was worth covering in a video. • Shortly before midnight on June 27, 2021, Shamaya Winders lost one of her brothers to gun violence in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. • Maurice Beals, 26, who was one of Shamaya Winders' brothers, was on the street in the 5700 block of West Ohio Street about 7:40 p.m. when someone approached and fired, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. • Maurice Beals suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm and chest and was transported to Loyola Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about three hours later at 11:24 p.m. • No one was in custody. • Understandably, Shamaya Winders is absolutely heartbroken behind the loss of her brother.
