We've all been told a certain story about the witch... but what's underneath the stereotype and stigma? That's what I wanted to find out. • For a spiritual practice that has been around for thousands of years, there must be more to the story. • So I spent some time with real witches, to learn about the history and ancient practice of this belief system. • First, I meet Mystic Dylan, a professional male witch with a deep knowledge of the history and cultural context behind witchcraft. Dylan tells his story and shares his wisdom of witchcraft. He teaches me a few witchy practices including making a gris-gris bag and bone throwing. • Next, I go and meet with The Basic Witches, two new-age feminist witches who use witchcraft for self-care and female empowerment. • Finally, I participate in an official ritual for Samhain, the Witch's New Year aka Halloween!
