To my dear fellow Filipinos living in Europe, we are happy to announce that our family's tradition of seed sharing continues! Today, THE SIBINCIC FAMILY FREE SEED PROJECT has donated 100 free seed packs to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Hungary with jurisdictions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova. Donation turnover and acknowledgement of donation were held at Hotel Europe in Sarajevo during the Consular Outreach Mission of PE Hungary led by His Excellency, Ambassador Frank R. Cimafranca. A total of 100 people can avail and take our free seed packs at the Philippine Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. • With our Free Seed Project, we encourage people to start growing their own healthy food from organic heirloom seeds. It encourages sustainability, self-reliance, and species preservation. Since 2018 we distributed free heirloom seeds to the public from our family seed bank to individuals, to the local community, gene banks, educational institutions, research institutes, and organizations. This time, we are grateful to donate to the Philippine Embassy which enables us to reach more people and give access to planting materials of Asian/Philippine vegetables to my fellow Filipinos. • The seed pack includes notes, planting guides, and 22 different varieties of heirloom fruits and vegetables: • Mix Heirloom Tomatoes (5 varieties) • Mix Heirloom Watermelons (6 varieties) • Mix Heirloom Melons (6 varieties) • Mix Asian / Philippine Vegetables (5 varieties) • These seeds are produced from our family garden, rare heirlooms, naturally grown, and chemical-free. Although we are just a regular family with a family seed bank, we are grateful that our seeds have been slowly circulating the globe. We are not rich enough to fund the costs of seed packets, storage boxes, printing, envelopes, sending fees, and all but thank God we somehow managed to share our family's treasure with others. We are honored to have shared it with so many people already across many communities. It has been our tradition and selfless commitment over the years. We are also trying to sell some of our seeds to compensate for the expenses of our family seed bank. It's the cheapest seeds one can buy with all the rare varieties that we have. Our new seed catalog will be available in spring. • All we ask for those who got our free seed packs is for them to pay it forward by also sharing their harvests, saving the seeds, and sharing them for others in the community to enjoy. Together, let's regenerate the earth and let our small steps ripple out globally! To our dear free seeds recipients, we wish you a happy and abundant garden journey! • Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube (The Sibincic Family) to learn more about sustainable agriculture and heirloom seeds, and stay up to date when we offer more free seeds in the future or get involved with our other projects for the community! • Love, • The Sibincic Family • #TheSibincicFamily #FreeSeedProject #GrowYourOwnFood
