Café Louis Vuitton Experience in NYC

While the Louis Vuitton NYC flagship store is closed for renovation, the brand opened an expansive temporary store right across the street. This is where you’ll find Café Louis Vuitton. • I went on a lunch date with a friend to check it out and here’s what we had: • We were served a bread basket with a delicious herb butter. We started the meal with the crisp monogram waffle, which came with a tzatziki spread and marinated cucumber. We also ordered the monogram flower ravioli, which features spinach, taleggio and black truffle. • Cassie ordered the Chicken Rôtie, which is a sasso chicken with Japanese curry, carrot and jus gras. I ordered Le Burger 1898 which comes with dry aged beef, Vermont cheddar, caramelized onions, arugula, tomato and pickles in a potato bun. It was outstanding. • We shared the Pom Mousseline Louis Vuitton, which is their signature truffle mashed potato. It’s the best mashed potatoes we’ve ver had. • For dessert, we ordered the chocolate entremet, which is a chocolate biscuit, 70% chocolate cream and chocolate ganache. We also ordered the hazelnut entremet, which has hazelnut ganache, tender praline and fleur de sel. To accompany the treats, Cassie had the cappuccino and I ordered the latte. • Our meal was exceptional and not just hype.
