Unlike his other three band mates George Harrison created a New Years song instead of a Christmas song. Ding Dong Ding Dong was a moderate success being released on December 6th, 1974. The basic track was recorded on November 1973 with Klaus Voormann (bass) , Ringo Starr (drums), Jim Keltner (drums), and Gary Wright (piano) being present. Later overdubs would be done in 1974. George's voice by this point was very rough due to him rushing to finish Dark Horse which eventually caused him to contract laryngitis.
