1. Drinking alcohol 🍸 extremely increases the risk of a decompression sickness, and contributes to dehydration and nitrogen narcosis. And let’s be honest, you wanna be at the top of your cognitive capacities if you have to deal with an emergency 🚨 • 2. Taking medications 💊 especially ones that allow you to alleviate symptoms of a cold. While you’re down, the effects of the sprays and other meds you took will decrease, and you don’t want to find yourself with a full nose at 40m. 😅 Also for stuff unrelated to a cold, my opinion is: if you’re sick, you shouldn’t dive. So if you need to take something, you’re not fit enough and you should postpone the dive. 🤫 • 3. Overeat 🍤 or eat heavy food is definitely something I avoid. Eating something before diving is essential, but you don’t want to get gastrointestinal discomfort during the dive 😅 • What other things do you systematically avoid before diving? ✍️ • #scuba #diving #food #safety #drinks #meds #diversalertnetworkeurope #divermag #dive #scubalife #scubadive #mergulhadores #buceo
