How to Bake an Apple Pie at Home | Easy Homemade Apple Pie Recipe • Learn how to bake the perfect apple pie from scratch in this simple step-by-step guide! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker, this easy apple pie recipe is perfect for any occasion, from holiday celebrations to cozy family gatherings. • 👉 Subscribe for more easy and tasty recipes:    / @cookingwithhua7237   • ✅ Ingredients You'll Need: • 6-7 Fresh apples (or 2 lbs) (Granny Smith or Gala work great!) • Pie crust (homemade or store-bought) • 1 cup sugar, divided • 2 tsp cinnamon (use less if you're not a fan) • 1/8 tsp nutmeg (optional) • 1/2 tsp salt • 1 tsp lemon juice • 1/2 cup butter • 4 TBS flour, divided • 1/4 cup water • egg for egg wash • Apple Pie Filling Instructions: • 1. Peel, slice, and cut the apples. Place them in a large bowl. • 2. To the large bowl, add 1 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tbsp flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, and 1/2 cup sugar. Make sure the apples are evenly coated. Set aside. • Apple Pie Sauce Instructions. • 1. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. • 2. Whisk in the remaining 3 TBS of flour and mix well. • 3. Add 1/4 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt, and the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and mix until everything is combined. • 4. Add the apples and stir until the mixture looks like caramel. This won't take long. • 5. Let it cool before placing it in the pie dish. You can also remove the pie filling from the sauce pan into another bowl to help it cool faster. • I used a store-bought pie crust that came with two crusts. Prepare your pie crust in your pie dish. This apple filling will fit a 9-inch pie pan (not deep dish). Add the cooled apple filling, crimp the edges, and brush the top of the apple pie with an egg wash. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then turn down the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes. Note: I placed my apple pie on top of a half-sheet tray to catch any pie filling that might spill out before putting it in the oven. • Get ready to impress your friends and family with this classic apple pie that’s sure to be a hit.
