DIY Dishwasher Detergent

You’ve cleared the dinner plates and are pressing start on your dishwasher, only to realize that you’re entirely out of detergent. Now what? Here’s what you do in pinch. • Grab these 3 ingredients and put them into your dishwasher’s detergent compartment: • 1. 2-3 drops (no more than that) of regular dish soap (the kind you’d use to hand-wash your dishes normally not hand soap) • 2. Baking soda until the compartment it’s almost full. • 3. Salt fill to the top (1 tsp) or so. • Grab tin foil to help shine up your silverware along with your glassware. The foil and ingredients produce an ion exchange that oxidizes the tarnish on silverware and leaves it looking as good as new.
