WATCH THIS VIDEO NOW! • “Simha” means lion and “asana” means pose. • Steps to practice Simhasana: • To begin with kneel on the mat. Your knees and calves should be hip width apart. Your knees pointing towards the front and your calves beside your thighs. Your back should be straight with the spine erect. Put your palms on your knees and allow your whole body to relax. This posture is called Vajrasana.Your buttock are on your heels, with the toes touching each other.If you are unable to sit on the knee then sit cross legged.The focus of this asana is more on the breathing.Sit tall with your spine straight and your palms on your knees.Pull your shoulders back and open your chest.Now take a deep breath.Spread your fingers pressing them on your knee and exhale making a ‘Haa’ sound.Inhale from your nose and exhale opening your mouth wide open,making a fierce sound, the tip of your tongue comes out towards your chin and your eyes are focused towards your third eye or middle of the forehead. Do not create any tension in your neck. Hold the pose for 20 to 30 seconds.
