Tim Locastro, IF, Los Angeles Dodgers — August 4-6, 2017 — Oklahoma City Dodgers (Triple-A Pacific Coast League) • Los Angeles Dodgers middle infield prospect Tim Locastro bats for the Oklahoma City Dodgers during an August 4-6, 2017 Triple-A Pacific Coast League series against the Las Vegas 51s (New York Mets) at Cashman Field in Las Vegas, Nevada. A 25-year-old product of Ithaca College in upstate New York, Tim Locastro enjoyed a big year split between Double-A and Triple-A in 2017, slashing .308/.383/.454/.837 over 471 at-bats on the year, with 31 doubles, ten home runs, 34 stolen bases, 28 walks, and 68 strikeouts. In this video, you can watch him bat eight times across that early August series for the OKC Dodgers on the road in Las Vegas, from a variety of different camera angles. • Long term, Tim Locastro likely will fit as a utility infielder at the big league level, and he has very good hand-eye coordination and contact skills at the plate. That said, he's limited with below-average bat speed and little projectable power beyond the hitter-friendly PCL, and if it weren't for his exceptional glove skills and above-average speed, he'd likely be a Triple-A mainstay. As it is, he's likely to be an up-and-down infield depth option set to come off the bench and fill the final spot of a 25-man roster here and there throughout his career. • +++ • For more Los Angeles Dodgers baseball news, visit their team database page and organizational roster on Baseball Census: http://BaseballCensus.com/LosAngelesD... • Do you want daily features, news, interviews, scouting reports, and videos of baseball’s best young talent and quick-rising minor league stars?
