Hi guys , • Today I will be showing you a very traditional sweet, this sweet is prepared for marriages, festivals, and special occasions. So without a further due let’s get started. • Method 1 • Add 3 cups of pappulu • Add Cardamom seeds • Add 3 1/2 cups of sugar • Mix Well and blend into a fine powder • Take into a big mixing bowl and add 1/4 cup of shredded coconut • The filling is ready set it aside • Method 2 • This is a healthier option for the filling • We are making both types of kadchikayalu so we are taking a smaller quantity but you change the measurements accordingly • Add pappulu • Add cardamom seeds • Add jaggery • Mix Well • Blend into a fine powder • Take into another mixing bowl and add shredded coconut • This filling is ready, so set aside. Although there are many different types of fillings for kadchikayalu I am only showing two types. I will be showing more types of fillings in the future. • Now let’s move on to the dough preparation • Take a big mixing bowl • Add 2 cups of peni rava • A pinch of salt • And 2 Tbsps of ghee • Mix well so that the ghee will incorporate well with the dry ingredients • After that, gradually add water as needed, and continue to mix the rava. • The rava should become a soft dough. • Now cover the dough with a lid or a plate and let it rest for 1-2 hours. • After 2 hours • Take oil into your hands and knead the dough as shown in the video • Remember that the more you knead the dough the better • After kneading the dough, split it into 2 pieces • Set a half aside • Now squeeze the dough to become thinner • Split the dough into small marble sized balls • Dip the dough balls into oil • Now roll out the balls into a circle • Make sure that there are no uneven sides or holes in the circle • Stuffing • Take the rolled out circle into your palm • Pinch the circle at one end as shown in the video • Place spoonfuls of filling inside the circle • Now seal the two sides together • Follow the technique shown in the video for best results • Make sure that you are tightly sealing the ends • Now follow the technique in the video to seal the kadchikayalu • If the ends are not sealed property when thy are placed in the oil they will burst and spoil the oil • Repeat the process with the rest of the dough • After making all of your kadchikayalu • Deep fry • Heat oil • After oil is heated place kadchikayalu into the oil • Fry • Now take into a serving bowl and enjoy ! • I hope you like our videos • Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
