Famed throughout the length and breadth of the cosmos as the greatest swordsman in the universe, the heroic Star Saber (スターセイバー Sutā Seibā) has ascended from humble beginnings to the lofty position of Supreme Commander of the Autobots and head of the interplanetary Galactic Defense Force. Protector of the weak, defender of the defenceless and lover of life in all its forms, Star Saber's spirit burns with an unending passion for justice and peace unequalled by any other, which drives him to quash evil wherever he finds it, with a cry of Let's say go! [1] This idealism is perhaps best evidenced in his adoption of the orphaned human child, Jan Minakaze, as his own son, for whom he cares deeply. • Apart from his position as Supreme Commander, Star Saber also leads the powerful subgroup known as the Brainmasters, who possess incredible courage, strength, skill and intelligence. Star Saber exemplifies courage in particular: his smallest robot form is the Brain of Courage (勇気のブレイン Yūki no Brain), which connects to a larger body to become the robot known as Saber (セイバー Seibā). In either robot or jet mode, Saber connects to the mobile battle platform named the V-Star with a cry of Battle Up! to become Star Saber. Furthermore, in either mode, Star Saber is capable of linking up with his teammate Victory Leo to become Victory Saber (ビクトリーセイバー Bikutorī Seibā).
