Leading Westerville North by only a touchdown in the final 6 minutes, Scioto's big defensive stops ultimately gave them the edge to win 27-6. Statistically, the Irish and Warriors looked nearly identical. But multiple stops on 4th downs by the Irish D gave them excellent field position, leading to easy touchdown drives that allowed Scioto to pull away from the Warriors. Senior RB Jestin Penn busted off a 34 yd-TD with 3:55 left in the game. The Irish defense then stifled the Warriors on their next drive putting them in easy position to score and earn their first league win.
