Bass Fishing Fenerty Lake With My Son

My son asked to get out and do some fishing. So here we are on Fenerty Lake in Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. We have previously caught smallmouth bass and speckled trout. It has been said that there are landlocked salmon in the system but I have never encountered any. • We took the reliable Sportspal canoe and headed out on the lake. Its been a really lightweight and reliable canoe. Had all the filming gear in hand and we hoped for a good evening of fishing. We had to contend with a slight breeze but it was not much to contend with. The UglyStik rods have always been my go to and have never failed me. With a Mepps Fury attached, it is a great combo. One rod had mono and the other had braid. • The first fish encountered was a yellow perch and followed by smallmouth bass. We got to observe a new family of black ducks on the water and a large mature bald eagle.
