Specifically, the excess pressure that’s vented back into your intake usually carries a certain amount of vaporized oil, which can accumulate over time and turn into engine sludge. The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can is designed to divert the vented pressure through its system, condensing the vaporized oil, and collecting it in its catch can. By doing so, this oil catch can eliminates sludge from ever being created. • The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can uses a specialized bronze filter capable of filtering out contaminants as small as 40 microns. This catch can’s internal structure uses a beveled design that promotes turbulence accelerating oil condensation. An internal aluminum baffle ensures all oil and contaminants are completely separated from the vented back exhaust. Finally, this catch can system uses 2 catch cans, one on the PCV side, and another on the CCV side, for total oil separation. • The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can features a CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum construction strength minus the weight. This oil separator includes a heavy-gauge, black powder-coated steel bracket for durability.
