Your mind requires closure. If there is something unfinished, there is a slight cognitive tension in there that is going to keep the task on your mind until you finish it. • I’m sure you have felt the relief from stress after completing a complex task or a long projects. • And there have been later studies that align with the findings of from ‘On finished and unfinished tasks’. • That is why, studying a subject with breaks in between to do other tasks or study other subjects is better than cramming it all together. Your mind will retain the information better. • And TV shows, or sometimes books in a series end with a cliffhanger because of this. They want you back for more. • I hope you understand the basic gist of it al. • Sometimes marketers and advertisers also use the Zeigarnik effect to try to keep their products in their minds. The thirty second ads where something is interrupted and showing their products or logo. Keeps that in your mind. • Links Discussed in the Video - • Zeigarnik Effect Example Discussed -    • Apple iPhone 7: Morning Ride  [usa-co...   • Alexis Carrel - https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/med... • https://www.britannica.com/biography/... • • Timestamps: • Intro - 0:00 • Example - 0:19 • History of Zeigarnik Effect - 1:06 • Explanation of Zeigarnik Effect - 2:15 • How you can use it to study - 2:47 • How it is used - 3:05 • Marketing Example - 3:55 • Bonus - 5:26 • Outro - 6:11
