In this video, Jennifer Jacober, Design Engineer, demonstrates how to set up LabVIEW software and LabVIEW DAQ cards for closed loop flow control using an Equilibar valve. Equilibar valves are dome-loaded so they get their setpoint from an electronic pressure controller called a pilot regulator. In this video, we use a high resolution Equilibar QPV electronic pilot regulator for exceptional response time. • For more information visit https://www.equilibar.com/flow-contro... • The LabVIEW DAQ cards receive a signal in from an Endress + Hauser flow meter, processes it through a PID loop in the LabVIEW software, and send the signal out to the QPV which pilots the Equilibar flow control valve. Together, this system provides exceptionally responsive and precise flow control across a wide range of flow. In this video, a 1/2 Equilibar FDO4 valve controls the flow from 10 g/min up to 1000 g/min. • In the Equilibar lab, we use a National Instruments chassis with NI 9203 and NI 9265 cards and a power supply to control the circuit.
