The Devonian Period saw new types of life arise as well as older life becoming more specialized. Placoderms are now in all shapes and sizes and in some forms, apex predators. Trilobites and Sea Scorpions are still around but some fish have decided to trek on land, early tetrapodomorphs. Arthropods now inhabit both land and sea, conquering the desolate landscape that is now made up of the new plant forests.
