Recap Step By Step Recap Of My Trading • Good morning guys!... • Welcome to StocksMon! • My Day Trading Routine | My Day Trading Strategy: • This is a recap of my trading for the day. I mainly trade NVDA and TSLA using a multi-timeframes setup on the ThinkorSwim platform (tos trading platform). • Before the opening bell, I will draw out some support and resistance lines from the 1 hour, 4 hours, and daily timeframes. • The plan is to wait for the price to move toward those support and resistance lines. For example, when the price jump above the ORB (Opening Range Breakout) lines on the 2 minutes, 5 minutes, etc... • For order entries, I usually placed together with a stop limit using the OCO template in ToS. This way a StopLoss is automatically set and I can manually move the SL up and down if needed. • For bar patterns, I like engulfing, morning star, and evening star. • For timeframes, I like the 15minutes, 1 hour, and 4 hours. Higher Timeframe gives a better overview of the overall trend. I use the 1 minute and 5 minutes, for timing my entries. • Top Indicators for trading: • On my charts, these are my top indicators I am using. • EMA : I have two exponential moving average setup (ema 21 and ema 50). I am monitoring the crossover between them on higher timeframes. I learned that this strategy is better and more accurate with higher timeframes. e.g. 15M and 1H • RSI : My custom RSI indicator monitor the oversold and overbought value. • VWAP line : average price to volume • MACD : I am also monitoring the crossover of the MACD line. • Volume Buyers and Sellers indicator. I use this to determine when to get into a trade. • Strategies • One day trading scalping strategy (momentum during opening) I like to play is when the price (price movement) is near the top or bottom of a candlestick. For example, if the price is moving toward the high or low on both the 1 hour and 4 hours timeframes. It is best to wait for the first 2 minutes or 5 minutes before taking a position. • Another scalping strategy is when the price is crossing the V Wap line. • I usually move my SL up if there's a profit. This way I can locked in some profits. • These are the few price action setups with high probability I like to trade during the opening bell for the momentum price action movement. • ===================================== • Today, I went back to trading some momentum stocks like DJT. At premarket, the stock was already up 5% and I was hoping it would go up more. It did but went back down afterward. I should have taken my profits but got greedy and as a result I was red $50. • At the opening, I went back to trading NVDA. I was able to turn green for the day from it. • Overall, I am up $250 for the day. • See you again next time.
