The Hubble Space Telescope grabbed awesome shots of Supernova SN 2015F, a Type Ia explosion in the Meathook Galaxy (NGC 2442), 50 million light-years away in Volans. In March 2015, a white dwarf in a binary system blew up, shining brighter than the galaxy with billions of suns’ worth of power. Type Ia supernovas help measure cosmic distances and reveal star deaths, element creation, and the universe’s expansion. The pic’s fiery glow shows the supernova’s intense heat, set against a starry deep-space backdrop. • Supernova Type: Ia • Remnant: Nebula • 🎵: simpsonwave 1995 (slowed) • Join this channel to get access to the perks: •    / @seekersofthecosmos   • #Shorts #HubbleSpaceTelescope #Supernova #Astronomy #Space #CosmicExplosion #Galaxy #Universe #SpaceScience #CelestialEvent #Nebula #StarDeath
