For the simple reason that if I accidentally have it fly out of my pocket, I'd be able to retrace my step and hopefully have an exponentially better chance of finding a blaze orange knife than one of my black or OD knives. It just makes sense. I take a lot of time doing blade swaps and hardware swaps and stuff like that, so I don't want to take a chance of losing something like that.
