This is another one of my favorite #LightTheTorch songs to play live! We were actually opening with it on the KSE/ABR tour, too. I like it as an opener - relative to some of the rest of the LTT material, it's actually got a few tricky parts in it. because of the tempo, it's a good warm-up for my right foot as well. So as an opening song live, it's kinda nice - not TOO hard, but not the easiest... just kinda gets me primed up for the rest of the set! I mean, I always warm-up on pads first too (Lol), that surely get me loose. But it's always a tad bit different when you start playing on actual drums (as opposed to pads) - you sorta have to warm up a bit MORE to get into that 'comfortable live performance' level, that's only possible on real drums (it's kinda hard to explain 😂😂. But if you're a drummer, you might have some idea of what I'm talkin' about!). My POINT is: As the opening song in a live performance, this track is a ton of fun. It also happens to be a killer song overall, too! (Howard sure knows how to write a catchy chorus. AMIRITE ya'll ?!) • BIG LOVE to Declan White for the SICK mix! I was actually super pumped with how this one turned out (!) - Declan's been mixing stuff for me for awhile now, but he never fails to impress. I especially like how the snare turned out --- 14x6.5 #Tama SLP Sonic Stainless Steel. I've had this snare for awhile, but haven't used it all too much. Hearing it in this mix...
