PoseNet은 처음으로 딥러닝 기법인 CNN을 사용하여 Visual Localization을 성공하였습니다. • 단순히 사진 및 동영상을 찍는 것만으로 미리 학습된 데이터를 통하여 현재 위치를 정확하게 추론하여 줍니다. 이는 보통 5m의 오차범위를 갖는 GPS가 하지못하는 많은 일들을 해주게 할 겁니다. • 예를들어 자율주행, 무인 항공기, 증강현실 등 정확한 위치를 요구하는 분야에 적용될 매우 필수적인 기술입니다. • King's College scene from Cambridge Landmarks, a large scale outdoor visual relocalisation dataset taken around Cambridge University.
