In this video I’ll be showing you how to build your own two digit mechanical seven segment display using an Arduino Mega and micro servos. You'll need an Arduino Mega as the Uno doesn't have enough PWM pins to drive even a single digit mechanical seven segment display, it only has 6 PWM pins. The Arduino Mega has 15 PWM pins, enough to drive two digits. The digit segments are all 3D printed using bright green PLA. • For a detailed write-up on the build and further description of the code, have a look at the full build through this link – https://www.the-diy-life.com/mechanic... • Download segment 3D print file – http://bit.ly/2SDQ4Oe • Download the code – http://bit.ly/2Hcx6Zs • Parts List and Purchase Links: • Arduino Mega – https://amzn.to/2UGsWkO • 14 X Micro Servos - https://amzn.to/380rddp • 5V 5A Battery Elimination Circuit - http://bit.ly/37jXHPa • 12V Power Supply - https://amzn.to/2SbKGTk • 3 Pin Header Strip - https://amzn.to/2OHZI0P • Strip Board - https://amzn.to/2uAw077 • 3D Printer Bright Filament – This One Used - https://amzn.to/2T07MgA • If you’ve got any suggestions for Arduino projects or tutorials, let me know in the comments section below.
