I mean the Steelseries mouse mats are like £30, and you can get a Xiaomi one off Gearbest for £7. • I wanted a leather XL mouse mat and I couldn't find many, so I made my own. As I was going to be making my own leather mouse mat I figured I'd record it and show you how I made my XL mouse pad. • A lot more time and effort went into making my own leather XL mouse mat than I initially realised, and I ended up spending more than I originally planned. If you don't have basic craft / DIY supplies like knives, glue etc then this could work out even more expensive. But DIY isn't about saving money, let's be honest. It's about making something honest with your own two hands. • I made my DIY XXL mousemat out of Scotch grain leather, cork backing and I used some Modge Podge to edge it. It wasn't hard at all - like most DIY projects I've embarked on, I found the most important thing to handle is patience. Plan your cuts, don't rush.
