In this video I complete the fabrication and install. • I finally pulled the trigger and sat down to do this. I've seen how others have completed converting either no brake or cable pull brake systems on 1987-2002 Yamaha YFS200 Blasters into Hydraulics. Many had fancy CNC brackets or Plasma cutter work. I wanted a rear brake but didn't want to hunt down an expensive used 03-06 Blaster carrier to do a swap and didn't want to get fancier than my skills and tools allowed. • In this video I go through my steps and the parts involved. This is a two part series. • I used an original cable pull Blaster foot peg and 2004 Yamaha Raptor rear brake master cylinder and caliper. I did have to do one weld on the foot peg with a piece of flat stock but this is an easy, basic weld. No fancy fabrication. No expensive carrier swap out. The rest of the conversion was off the shelf from Home Depot. This was about a $100 project. • So far I think this is the easiest conversion I've seen. I do recommend checking out the Blaster Forum https://www.blasterforum.com/ for tips and tricks and conversation with other Blaster enthusiasts. • Also going to provide this link. I've never used these parts but the rear brake caliper mount looks quite promising. https://cronetec.com/ • Parts: • 2004 Raptor 660 rear Hydraulic Brake Caliper and Master cylinder - Ebay • Original manufacturer Blaster (cable pull) foot peg and pedal if you don't already have it • 12 of 1.25 mild steel square tube from home depot • some washers nuts and bolts (I cover the size and pitch in the video) • Used Blaster rotor on Ebay • I put in a new set of brake pads from Amazon • For reference my Blaster is a 2001 model. • Ultrasonic Cleaner I used: https://amzn.to/3BRHhwN • Support the fun by liking and subscribing https://bit.ly/2kPku2P • My Film Equipment: • Go Pro Hero 7 https://amzn.to/2wPIzwp • The Bendy Tripod Thingy... - https://amzn.to/2HXnm5T • Cheap Spare Go Pro Batteries - https://amzn.to/2vitym5 • Go Pro Accessories - https://amzn.to/3caFve8 • Go Pro Hero 7 Light - https://amzn.to/36vXp9f • Go Pro Ball head arm Clamp - https://amzn.to/2K5HNlr • Samsung EVO 256 MicroSD - https://amzn.to/38BVAdL • Edited on: • Filmora X, Windows 10 64bit, AMD Vega 56, solid state drive for for editing and proxy files, 7200rpm for raw video storage, 16gb ram, AMD Ryzen 9 3900x 12 core CPU. • Our Affiliates: I do receive a commission if you choose to purchase from one of the below links.
