This video is a tutorial on how to setup the all new Smartthings component in HASS!! • Here is a link to get you started.... • https://www.home-assistant.io/compone... • If you need to setup Home Assistant with SSL, checkout this video... • • Setup HASS with LetsEncrypt and DuckD... • *Make sure you are on 0.87.x of Home Assistant in order for this to be available* • (0:00) Intro • (2:11) First things first, you need to generate a personal access token in Smartthings... • https://account.smartthings.com/tokens • Follow along with the video • (4:05) If you are running the Smartthings-mqtt-bridge, you will need to stop it before setting up the new component. • (4:54) Now setup the new Smartthings component in HASS... • Click on Configuration, then go to Integrations and search for Smartthings • Hit Configure and paste in the access token. • (5:59) It should now ask you to add the smartapp in the Smartthings mobile app • (7:33) You are done, you can see what that looks like here! • If you like the video, please subscribe to my channel.
