Former U.S. President Donald Trump was escorted off the stage Saturday at a rally in Pennsylvania after what sounded like gunshots rang out, with the Secret Service saying he is safe. • There appeared to be blood on Trump's right ear and face, television footage showed. • President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility, his spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement. • Before leaving the stage with Secret Service members, Trump raised his fist in the air multiple times. • The Secret Service said in a statement it has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe.
